Do you love the look of handcrafted pieces like this? You can make this beautiful resin skull with flowers as a Halloween decoration project, or as part of your own resin art collection. You only need a few items and materials to make this beautiful piece. Be sure to follow the safety guidelines and work in a well-ventilated space when working with epoxy.
Helpful Epoxy Resin Tips:
- Mix epoxy resin and hardener 1:1 ratio.
- When mixing epoxy and hardener, mix slowly to avoid creating bubbles
- Make sure to let it dry completely before handling it
- Make sure the room where you are working is warm. The resin will not cure if it is too cold.

Instructions
Step 1.
Before starting any project, always be sure to gather all the materials you will need from start to finish. The first pieces you will need are your molds and flowers. Start by making a small bouquet of dried flowers by gathering 6 small dried yellow roses (with the thorns removed) and two small sprigs of baby’s breath, and secure the bouquet with a rubber band.
Step 2.
Turn your skull mold upside down and place the bouquet into the skull with the stems sticking up. Mix your clear resin with the hardener in the plastic cup and stir to combine. Place one dried rose in each of the four smaller molds. Fill the skull mold and the smaller molds with resin and allow to dry for 24 - 48 hours.
Step 3.
When your skull has completely hardened, trim away the stems and remove the resin skull from the mold. Place a small drop of resin on a flat surface and coat the head of a dried rose. Use a UV light to harden it quickly. Place the rose into one of the eye sockets of the skull, and repeat the process again for the other “eye”. Seal around each “eye” with resin and use the UV light to cure it.
Step 4.
Drill a hole at the top of the skull and behind the teeth on each side. This is where your flower accents will be placed once it all finished.
Step 5.
Take a dried rose and clip it in half. Place the part with the petals into the corner of the skull's mouth behind the teeth, and the stem end in the other side. It should appear as though the skull is holding the rose between its teeth.
Step 6.
Wrap the charm bracelet around the four flower prisms and place them in the hole at the top of the skull for the finishing touch.
You now have a beautiful piece of handmade artwork that you can display proudly at Halloween or any time of the year. This resin skull with flowers makes a fabulous addition to any crafters collection!
